AMS 2025 is almost here, and with it our study group session of lightning talks: “Bad Instructions? Anarchy, Excess, and Scarcity in Music Notation,” with respondent Michael Gallope (UMN). Presenters include Matthew McDonald (Northeastern University), Ruixue Hu (Eastman School of Music), Virginia Jansen (UC Davis), Rachel Rosenman (Harvard University), Emily Korzeniewski (University of Cambridge) and Elaine Fitz Gibbon (Amherst College). Our session will take place on Saturday, November 8th from 12:30-2pm in the Greenway Ballroom C-H. We have approx. 70 minutes for the session, to be followed by a 20 minute study group business meeting and meet and greet with coffee and light refreshments. All are welcome and we hope to see you there!
